The MIL Corporation
With more than 40 years of experience, MIL provides innovative financial services to the federal government. MIL has partnered with Workiva to develop solutions to back-office challenges and ensure the proposed investment meets business objectives with the desired results, impact, and value.
Financial Close and Reporting
MIL and Workiva help federal agency accounting departments and business units collaborate on and improve financial close and reporting processes. Workiva ensures data quality and consistency across financial reports and accompanying narrative with features that include live linking of reported numbers to source data, fully automated audit trails for visibility into all historical changes, and task workflows that can be predefined or managed by users in real time. Workiva accelerates the preparation of agency financial reports (AFR) and performance and accountability reports (PAR), linking all report data to sources of truth and helping reference the report contents to AGA’s Certificate of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) requirements guide.
Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
MIL and Workiva have developed a PPBE solution tailored to the unique requirements of our federal customers—from linking financial and performance data across many different work products (e.g., Congressional Budget Justification, the Build to Budget, and Budget Execution reports) to managing funding control totals in real-time to tracking a prioritized list of unfunded requirements.
A-123, Internal Controls, Audit Support, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
The Workiva platform allows agencies to maintain all documentation and dashboards for A-123, audit liaison, and ERM in one virtual workspace. A-123 documentation, from planning to testing and reporting, is all seamlessly linked and integrated. Audit provided-by-client (PBC) requests are managed via workflows and tracked effortlessly. ERM risk profiles and inventories, supporting documentation, and integrated dashboards allow risk managers to brief senior management and enable executive decision making.
