Wdesk Recognized for Best User Experience in Internal Controls Management for Governance, Risk and Compliance Solutions

Ames, IA - September 22, 2015 - Workiva (NYSE: WK) today announced that its Wdesk cloud-based productivity platform has won a 2015 GRC Innovation Award in Internal Controls Management for the Best User Experience by analyst firm GRC 20/20. The annual GRC Innovation Awards recognize technology innovations and user experience in governance, risk management and compliance solutions.

“Workiva has demonstrated GRC innovation with its productivity platform, Wdesk, in Internal Controls Management that delivers risk, compliance and management reporting,” said Michael Rasmussen, Chief GRC Pundit for GRC 20/20 and internationally recognized expert.

“Wdesk has emerged as a strong alternative to traditional GRC platforms because users can collect, manage and analyze business data with control and accountability,” said Matt Rizai, Chairman and CEO of Workiva. “This helps our customers who work in the areas of GRC as well as in related policies and procedures, audit, and risk and controls management.”

Recent Wdesk features – including data collection, digital paper trails, task management, flowcharts, visualizations, dashboards and expanded mobile compatibility – were recognized by GRC 20/20.

“Workiva’s innovation lies in the fact that they created a compelling user experience, all within the context of productivity, usability and flexibility in configuring the platform,” added GRC 20/20’s Rasmussen.

“It is imperative that we recognize today’s successes as a milestone toward advancing GRC maturity,” said Rasmussen. “In achieving maturity, GRC becomes part of the organization’s strategy and operations and is supported by a range of technology, knowledge and services. This enables the organization to achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness and agility in GRC processes and broader business operations.”
