Workiva Ranked Fourth Best Workplace in Technology

Ames-based Workiva was ranked the fourth best workplace among technology companies, according to a new ranking released this week by Fortune Magazine, beating out other big companies such as Google and Yelp.

“Our employees and the culture have helped us make Workiva a great place to work,” said Matt Rizai, chairman and CEO of Workiva. “At Workiva, we are progressive in everything we do, from how we invent software solutions to how we serve our customers to how we treat our employees.”

Workiva employs more than 1,100, with about half of those based in Ames at the company’s headquarters in the Iowa State University Research Park. This is Workiva’s first time being ranked to this Fortune list and was the only Iowa company to make the list. In December, Workiva was also ranked sixth on Fortune Magazine’s list of the 50 best workplaces for camaraderie.

The results of the ranking are based on employee surveys, which assess camaraderie, career development, rewards and leadership. This Fortune Magazine ranking surveyed 48,000 employees at 115 companies.
