Workiva Named Technology Company of the Year and Top Growth Company of the Year at Annual Prometheus Awards
Des Moines, IA - April 15, 2016 - Workiva (NYSE:WK), creator of the Wdesk cloud-based productivity platform for enterprises, announced today that it has been named Technology Company of the Year and Top Growth Company of the Year at the Technology Association of Iowa’s eleventh annual Prometheus Awards ceremony held here on April 14, 2016.
“It is an honor to be recognized again by the Technology Association of Iowa,” said Matt Rizai, Chairman and CEO of Workiva. “Iowa has the necessary resources and support systems that allow us to continue to scale Workiva at a fast pace.”
The Prometheus Awards are Iowa’s largest and most prestigious distinction that recognizes innovative companies and individuals in the state’s $11 billion high-tech industry, which accounts for 8.8 percent of the state’s GDP and employs over 76,000 workers.
Since 2011, Workiva, which is based in Ames, Iowa, has won 11 Prometheus Awards: five in the category of Software Company of the Year and five in the Technology Company of the Year (Large Enterprise) category. This is the company's first win in the Top Growth Company of the Year category.
