Workiva Gives ISU Students Advice on Working Abroad

The Iowa State University World Languages and Cultures Center hosted a speaking panel and interactive workshop Monday night for students looking to work abroad. Workiva employees spoke with students about their own experiences working abroad.

Liv Watson, Senior Director of Strategic Customer Initiatives at Workiva, lived in Norway before coming to America. She emphasized the importance of learning a second language and the value behind understanding a new culture and ethics.

“Coming to America, I fell in love, I couldn’t go back,” Watson said. “You can never stop learning with regards to new environments.”
