Workiva and EisnerAmper Create Strategic Partnership
Wdesk to be Integrated with EisnerAmper Expertise to Improve SOX Business Value
AMES, Iowa and NEW YORK, NY (September 14, 2017) – Workiva (NYSE:WK), a leading provider of solutions for enterprise productivity, and EisnerAmper, a top 20 advisory and accounting firm in the United States, jointly announce a strategic partnership to streamline how companies document, implement and assess internal controls over financial reporting as required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
With Wdesk, EisnerAmper and its customers are able to work in a single, integrated environment and collaborate in real time on internal controls, thereby reducing errors and streamlining the overall compliance process. EisnerAmper will offer the Wdesk platform with its domain expertise and managed services to clients in the areas of SOX and internal controls and other governance, risk and compliance (GRC) processes.
“Our partnership will help companies realize more business value from their SOX and internal controls programs,” said Matt Rizai, Chairman and CEO of Workiva. “By combining Wdesk with EisnerAmper’s expertise, we will help CFOs and their teams gain insights, make data-driven decisions and ultimately drive better business outcomes.”
With Wdesk permission controls, administrators can control access at all levels so that users can create, edit and review data and documents that only relate to them. This control feature also enables users to grant secure access to their external auditors, outside counsel and other consultants, which streamlines the review process and reduces expenses.
“This partnership aligns with our strategic goal to increase value to our current and future clients’ digital ecosystem, which will ultimately impact performance and outcomes,” said Jerry Ravi, a Partner in EisnerAmper’s Consulting Services Group. “Leveraging the Wdesk platform substantially increases our ability to help companies solve increasingly complex challenges and optimize governance, risk management and compliance processes.”
