Be FERC'ing Ready: Best Practices for Filers

Workiva News

September 21, 2021

This session at Workiva Amplify is a must for FERC Filers as it will get you ready for the new FERC mandate and filing deadline on December 31, 2021. (Session is CPE credit)

The session will review the differences between SEC and FERC mandates in detail as well as give you an understanding about XBRL and its role in the mandate. XBRL is an international standard which enables cross-jurisdictional and cross-regulator analysis that allows regulators and analysts to more easily conduct comparisons.

Our expert will show you what you can do within the Workiva platform such as sharing data between filings with same sources but different destinations without worrying about XBRL tags coming from the wrong taxonomy.

The session will demonstrate the FERC taxonomy and walk users through the best practices for XBRL in spreadsheets and the models for usage. Our experts will also cover new product functionality such as XBRL footnotes, Chain Control (controlling what data you want to roll forward and removing manual entry process) and Roll Forward from quarter to quarter so that you are ready for this mandate.

You will not want to miss this session to be ready for the FERC mandate this coming December. Our experts are ready to help you meet this deadline with simplicity using the modern Workiva platform.
