Ames-based Harrisvaccines Wins Big at Prometheus Awards
The Technology Association of Iowa hosted the 11th annual LWBJ Prometheus Awards on Thursday night at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines. Workiva once again won the award for large Technology Company of the Year, a recognition it has received five years in a row. ISU Research Park neighbor, Harrisvaccines was also a big winner of the evening, receiving many accolades including Small/Medium Technology Company of the Year.
This year's awards came with some new categories, including one to recognize an Iowa community that has shown support for technology and startups.
Organizers said about 1,000 people attended Thursday night's event.
The Prometheus Awards have been established as Iowa's largest and most prestigious distinction dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the innovation and brilliance of Iowa's high-tech industry. The ceremony honors both companies and individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and excellence in technology. The lineup for the 11th annual Prometheus Awards was a veritable who's who of Iowa's technology and startup scenes.
