Clay Stanley
Biography
As senior vice president of technology, Clay is responsible for the technology direction of Workiva’s cloud platform and spearheading the company’s technology roadmap, overseeing architecture, engineering, infrastructure, delivery management, and data. He brings over 30 years of extensive experience delivering large-scale multimillion-dollar initiatives that exceed goals in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
He is known for his experience leading agile teams at scale in a DevOps culture to deliver engaging customer experiences and focuses on developing people and inspiring global teams to innovate and deliver business value.
Prior to joining Workiva he was vice president of platform engineering at Medidata where he led teams in the delivery of enterprise SaaS products, self-service analytics, and data products supporting clinical research.
Before Medidata, Clay held various technology leadership roles at eBay and PayPal. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software developer with UPS and as an operations intelligence specialist with the United States Air Force, stationed in England.
Clay holds a Master’s of Arts in computer resource management from Webster University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in computer information systems from Ohio State University.
