Biography

 

Bart van Praag is general manager (GM) for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region of Workiva. As GM, he is responsible for the build out and accelerated growth of Workiva's EMEA business. He brings strategic go-to-market, technology sales and business development expertise helping Workiva’s expansion into existing and new markets in EMEA.

Bart leads a team that is responsible for product development, sales, services, business strategy, marketing, alliances, and support driving client value for Workiva's customers in EMEA.  Bart has a strong track track record of success in accelerating growth and penetrating challenging new markets. 

Previously, Bart served as president and chief executive officer of Dovetail Integrated Systems, a technology platform to transform the future of sourcing biologics. He also served as director for Prescient in the United States heading up the company’s pre-construction department, where he oversaw the planning of large-scale construction projects, including successful completion of several high-profile projects in Texas, Colorado, and New York. Bart also served various leadership roles at Synthon, a Dutch based innovative pharmaceutical company.

Bart has co-authored several scholarly papers for the University of Amsterdam, and been featured in several publications for his extensive experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Structural Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and Master of Business Administration from Duke University. He is fluent in Dutch and English.
