WebFilings is indicated as the leader in all XBRL categories surveyed in Financial Executives Research Foundation survey

December 2, 2011
Recently, the Financial Executives Research Foundation (FERF) conducted a comprehensive survey on the SEC reporting practices of three hundred U.S. public companies—large and small. The first section of the survey focused on the operational aspects of SEC Reporting, such as the responsibilities and size of SEC Reporting teams as well as the number of days necessary to complete and file their financial reports. The second section of the survey focused on respondents’ experiences in meeting XBRL requirements. The survey provides benchmarks and comparison points that are of interest and value to all SEC reporting teams. Additionally, the survey respondents provided feedback on their experience to date with their XBRL solution provider. We at WebFilings are extremely proud that 96 percent of our customers who participated in the survey were “very satisfied” with Wdesk. This is by far, the highest satisfaction level reported in the survey of any of the XBRL solution providers. Additionally, the survey asked respondents about their “pencils down” experience with their XBRL provider. This is the period prior to the planned SEC filing date when the service provider imposes a window during which no additional changes are allowed. WebFilings was rated by 91 percent of respondents as having “no pencils down” period, also, the highest rating in that category by a wide margin.
