Paul DePodesta Shares His Moneyball Story
What do baseball and financial reporting have in common?
More than you may think.
The final day of The Exchange Community is underway, and today Vice President of Player Development and Scouting for the New York Mets, Paul DePodesta brings conference attendees his Moneyball story to the main stage.
Paul shares his stories of rethinking stagnant, outdated systems and how overhauling, rather than merely tweaking, the thought process behind outdated organizations is essential for innovation and success.
Throughout the conference we have been answering your questions, sharing new features, connecting you to your peers, and showing you a great time.
The learning continues with sessions featuring Francis Quinn, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility Technologies at WebFilings who will discuss the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In addition, Susan Yount, former Associate Chief Accountant in the Office of Interactive Data at the SEC, who is now Director of Reporting Practices at WebFilings, and Mike Starr, WebFilings Director of Strategic Initiatives, who was previously the SEC Chief Accountant's advisor, will also be presenting. Mike and Susan will discuss the latest regulatory and reporting trends from the SEC, among other topics. And that is just a glimpse of what you can expect!
Last but certainly not least, congratulations to last night’s winners at The Exchange Community Awards ceremony! It was an amazing evening and we were thrilled to see so many customers come out to celebrate an incredible week.
If you were unable to attend The Exchange Community user conference this year, we hope you will join us next year.
