Join the Movement: Connected Reporting and Compliance at Amplify 2019
When people gather together to combine their knowledge and passions, magical things can happen. That’s why I am so excited about Workiva Amplify, our annual user conference. This year, we're in Dallas, and it won't be the same without you.
In 2019, the theme for Workiva Amplify is Connection. At Workiva, we are inspired by our customers to continuously collaborate, innovate, and imagine what’s possible when you connect reporting and compliance.
What's connected reporting and compliance?
Today, the technology landscape across most enterprises focuses almost entirely upon controlling the foundational transactional nature of the business. These systems of record have steadily improved in both scale and capabilities over the last four decades. Unfortunately, data control is lost the moment information leaves the confines of consolidation or visualization solutions for reporting and analysis.
This leaves desktop tools and cloud productivity suites—spreadsheets, documents, and presentations—as the only option for assembling data and creating internal and external reports for critical stakeholders. And, that's a task those tools were not designed to do.
For most organizations, the very act of gathering and reporting on data immediately degrades the integrity of data. It seems you either get to access your data or keep it controlled—you can’t have both.
This introduces the importance of connected reporting and compliance.
What connected reporting and compliance offers your team
The difference between a connected organization and an unconnected one is night and day.
By permanently eliminating the dilemma of choosing between data control and accessibility, connectivity disrupts a long-held status quo in reporting and compliance.
Workiva offers an intelligent system of work that allows organizations to connect data whenever and wherever it is and allows that data to be worked on in familiar interfaces (documents, spreadsheets, and presentations), while maintaining total data integrity.
Instead of sacrificing data integrity when key reports and documents are assembled, data integrity is actually improved, transparency is established, and trust is advanced.
This is connected reporting and compliance, and it's sure to revolutionize the way work is done in your organization.

Sal will speak about how he built his academy to offer a free, world-class education for millions of students around the globe and share his vision for the future of education.
