A recent LogixData blog post, “Analysis of XBRL vendors and their market share for 2012 and 2011,” summarizes part one of a three-part report on XBRL market trends. A clear shift is emerging across companies of all sizes. They are moving XBRL in-house to increase control, flexibility, and accuracy in preparing and filing their reports.

The analysis shows that 50 percent of large accelerated filers filed using an in-house XBRL strategy in 2012, up 25 percent from the previous year. Since Q1 of 2011, WebFilings has become the dominant leader in the field as depicted in several graphs in the article. Are you and your reporting team ready to move your XBRL in-house?
